Creation of MRF
In construction, a Materials Request Form (MRF) is a standardized document used by site personnel to formally request the supply or a service.
The Materials Request Form (MRF) in ProjectVIEW ERP is a structured workflow for requesting either materials from a supplier or services from a subcontractor—ensuring smooth project execution and traceability in procurement.
Key Features
1. Switch Between BOQ and Item View
When creating your MRF, you can choose to base your request on:
Item View: Select specific predefined material items.
BOQ View: Choose directly from Bill of Quantities (BOQ) lines tied to your project.
This flexibility allows different teams (procurement, engineers, QS) to work in the way that suits them best.
2. Specify Type of Request
When filling out the MRF, clearly indicate whether the request concerns:
Materials – Physical items to be delivered by a supplier.
Services – Works or tasks to be performed by a subcontractor.
This ensures proper routing and approval workflow within the ERP system.

MRF Details – Item Selection Process
After saving, you will gain access to additional pages and selection options. You will then proceed to the MRF Details section, where you have two methods for selecting your items:
Manual Selection Use the Add Record "+" button to manually insert items. By clicking on the Item Code field, you can search through the list of registered items already available in the system. After selecting an item, make sure to specify the required quantity. You can add multiple items by clicking the "+" button again and filling in new rows for each one.

⚠️ Important: Save the Grid and the Page
Mark as Complete Click "Entry Complete" to finalize the MRF content.
Approve the MRF Select "Approve" to submit the MRF for further processing.
⚠️ Important: Approval requires a configured Approval Workflow. If no workflow has been defined for this MRF type or context, the approval step may not be available or functional. Ensure that the relevant approval rules and steps are created in the Workflow Configuration section of the system prior to attempting approval.
Transfer to Requisition Once approved, the "Transfer to Requisition" option will appear. Click this to convert the MRF into a requisition document for procurement processing.
