Company Types
Company Types, similarly to Company Kinds, is a selection that allows the description and elaboration of activities for the definition of each Company and Supplier.
Introduction
Company Types is a classification framework used to categorize companies according to their core services or areas of specialization (Activities).
Examples of commonly used Company Types include classifications such as
General Contractor
Earthworks
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
Electrical
Plumbing
Finishing Works, among others.
Example
ACME Construction is a company classified under the Company Type of General Contractor, responsible for the overall coordination and execution of construction projects. ACME Aluminium is categorized under the Company Type Aluminium, operating as a subcontractor that provides aluminium contracting services to ACME Construction.
Visual Walkthrough
To set up Company Type you are going to use dynamic search bar by typing "Company Types" To add a new company type, click the “+” button “New Record”.
Next, complete the fields labeled Company Type Code and Company Type Description as required. Once all necessary information has been entered, finalize the process by selecting the Save option
